Forest Trip

Today, we headed over to the "forest" again. It was sooo hot, but the place was empty, so we had the park to ourselves. No tiger sightings today, but it was still fun.

Family Get-Together

We are so excited that Aunt Dianne and Aunt Denise are here for a visit! We drove to Grandma's house today to see them, and the cousins had fun playing and getting into trouble. Grandma made an awesome breakfast, and then we just played outside for a while.

The kids are like the three stooges. They just crack each other up.
Here is one of cousin Gavin that I love. Sweet boy...And the kids bouncing on the jumper. And my love, Keaton. Sweet guy is having some seperation issues. He can be a foot away from Ryan or I, but still breaks down when someone else holds him. Hopefully he will warm up to Aunt Denise and Aunt Dianne before they leave!
I think that he got some crazy ideas from watching the kids doing acrobatics on the jumper.

Dinner on the Sand

Nathan fell asleep in about .2 seconds tonight, and it is no wonder. This morning, Nathan and I went to the waterpark with a couple friends and their kiddos. Then tonight, we headed down to the beach to have a picnic dinner. Nathan was not very interested in the whole "dinner" thing, and Keaton had peas with a side of sand. But they had fun.

Swinging

Just some swinging pictures from today. Keaton had fun just relaxing in his swing. Nathan had fun diving under the swing, crawling over the swing, and trying to grab Keaton's ankles to stop him mid-swing.

Sleepy Baby

Here are some more pictures from our Father's Day at the lake. Keaton only slept a few minutes in the car on our drive, so he was one sleepy baby when we got to Murrieta. Here he is cuddling with Nana.
And falling asleep in the swing... poor guy.

And riding in the stroller that Papa refinished. It perked him up a bit. He loved it.

Sun and Sand

We are trying to fit in day trips while Ryan is off work this week, so we decided to head down to the beach today. I think it was Keaton's first time in the sand! (And I think he ate about a bucket full - bla!) This kid puts everything you can imagine in his mouth. Ryan and I took turns keeping an eye on him, but he seemed to find rocks out of nowhere, and would be sucking on them before we even had a chance to react. Nathan was busy chasing seagulls, collecting rocks, and burying his toes in the sand, and then shouting "Where did my toes go?!?" He was cracking himself up.

Happy belated birthday to Sara! Can't wait until you come down. And get well wishes to Bailey! Poor little girl has the stomach flu that she picked up our gymnastics yesterday (a kid threw up on the equipment in the middle of the class - nice!). So I hope she feels better soon... We love you! (a-dia-a-dia-a-dia! chicken NUGGET!)

Casper's Park

We took the kids to the "forest" today - just to Casper's park for some lunch and play. Nathan had a blast, and went walking through the forest to look for tigers. He was amazed by the sound of the leaves and gravel beneath his shoes. (He is a California boy, and it definitely shows.) Keaton had fun, even though he was a little annoyed that he couldn't get down and crawl around. As we were leaving, a deer ran right next to us. Nathan was excited and thought it was a reindeer.

Here are some pictures of him walking through the "forest".
And Nathan, at the playground.

And finally, Keaton just hung out, swinging with Ryan and enjoying some lunch.

Day At The Lake

Happy Father's Day, Ryan, Dad, Papa, Grandpa M, and Grandpa K! We piled into Ryan's bus (he he) and spent the day at Uncle Kenny and Aunt Mila's house to celebrate Father's Day. We went down to the lake, and after exploring the playground, Nathan fed the ducks. He was insistent that the white duck was named "Oscar", and had a great time tossing them bread. Almost fell in a couple times, but Aunt Mila was there to catch him. (Thanks, Mila!)

Playing on the Patio

Yesterday, we spent the morning at the water park with Aunt Mina, Bailey, and Gavin. The kids had a blast, and Mina and I were exhausted. So, we decided to hang out close to home for the rest of the day. Nathan and Keaton played with the hose on the patio, taking turns splashing each other. Then Keaton decided to play with one of the flags that were put around the neighborhood. I think this picture is so funny - he was holding that flag up for the longest time. (And this picture gave me a chance to play with Photoshop!)

Momma's Boy

I have such few pictures of myself with the kids since I am usually the one behind the camera (and hate having my picture taken!). But Ryan was taking some pictures a few days ago, and got this one of Keaton and I. He is so sweet - my little bug.

Party Time

Today we went to a birthday party for Nathan's little friend, Abby. He had a great time playing with Abby and his other girlfriends, Rylee and Jenna. (Such a ladies man.) It was held at the Little Gym, so Nathan felt like a pro with his gymnastics skills.

Here he is demonstrating the crawl-through maneuver on the bars.

And here, he is taking a breather... and checking out the competition.

Brothers

Nathan is such a sweet big brother... always asking to hold and kiss Keaton. But with his massive two-year-old strength, sometimes Nathan gets carried away with those kisses and cuddles. So it is no wonder that Keaton looks on edge whenever Nathan gets affectionate, ready to scream for help from mom or dad. Still, it is so great to see them love on each other. Not only brothers, but friends.

Flowers

Just a little break from the people pictures... I have been playing around with the camera, and I took some nature shots. It was so nice to take pictures of things that hold STILL for me.

These are just some flowers from the patio.

These are some cut flowers from the farmer's market.

This is a bouquet that Nathan gave me this morning. I am trying to teach him that the ladies love flowers!

Just Playing Around

We had just finished saying goodbye to Ryan as he left for work tonight, and I took some pictures of the kids in the front. Like always, Nathan was hamming it up for the camera.

I put Keaton on the grass, and he wasn't too sure about it. He gets the most disgusted look on the face when he touches grass. He spent the whole time trying to figure out how to get off.
